This page could get pretty big if you count all the abandoned projects out there.
I'm pretty sure there's good running list of abandoned fangames that Pink/Pinkuboa has been keeping track of. Heck, even my own is unreleased.
Sushimon, do you think this category will be able to stay up or will it get used wrongly by people who have big ideas and blogs and some sprites & then no progress? Like, what's the criteria for abandoned/unreleased fangames that allows them to fall into this category?
Well, this was sort of an experimental thing. It's not for creators to make pages for their WIP fangames, rather to archive information off of blogs long abandoned and games the developer have decided to never release.
If the fangame is considered still in development (maybe with their last post/mention being <1 year old), and the creator can be contacted easily and confirms they are still working on it, than the page will not be made.
Now, this isn't a certified 100% plan for this category, but I think this would be a good way to judge if the project could be put in there.
