Overview[]

Single Line (单行道 lit. One-way street) is a Chinese Yume Nikki fangame, developed by 董恒天. It is currently just a demo.

Gameplay[]

Single Line plays the same as most fangames. The Yumenikki.info page for the game tells that "The protagonist of this game is a nameless girl in a white dress".

You start in a room with two signs saying "in" and "out". The protagonist can leave her room, but you won't be able to leave the neighborhood. The 2 nexus doors you find while sleeping take you to the exact same place; but you get either the weapon effect or the speed effect once you enter one of them. You can save at any moment, but the save item will be gone once you use it. There is also an item that, when chosen, will trigger the ending of this game.

The introduction and game over screens are both excerpts from the poem "The Road Not Taken" by American poet Robert Frost.

Plot[]

Much like most Yume Nikki fangames, Single Line doesn't seem to have any kind of plot.
